Overview
Since high school in the 80’s Ron’s passion for photography has led him on a photographic journey from film to digital including film darkrooms to digital darkrooms. His first paid photo assignment was photographing the space shuttle landing piggy back on a 747 at Davis Monthan Air Force Base in 1986. He moved to Hollywood entering the workforce as a lab specialist printing large cibachrome murals and creating manual compositions consisting of up to 30 burns on HK registration enlargers for magazine ads at the most technological photographic lab in the world at the time. Some of the darkrooms he worked in had 11X14 horizontal enlargers on rail systems that could project images as large as billboards for type C prints on 80 inch wide paper. Later In San Francisco he worked making murals at a lab printing stage coach images that are still hanging in many Wells Fargo Bank locations.
