I was looking for ways to build more wealth and live a lifestyle where I wasn't tied to a desk and working a 9-5. I wanted the freedom that owning a company brought and real estate investing tied a lot of my interests together well.
The biggest challenge was just believing I could do it. I don't have anyone in my family or group of friends who are doing investing and so it wasn't something that seemed accessible to me at first. It's hard to wrap your head around such large amounts of money at the beginning because you typically hear about people saving up for years just to buy a primary residence.
The first flip that I've done. Just being able to go through with it even when roadblocks came up taught me a lot and showed me there is always a solution. Even though it wasn't always a smooth process, I took on all these new challenges and worked my way through them to come out the other side.
As an investor, I think my primary advantage is that I am also an agent. I have access to more deals and have a greater network of people who are always thinking about real estate.
