My Bio
Hey! I'm Ashley, your local DogmomofAZ and AZ Real Estate Agent | REALTOR. I have 5 years experience in the real estate business.
If I'm not catching up on all the real estate hype, you can always catch me hanging out with my 5 dogs, ( yes, 5! ) sweating up a workout, making jewelry, DIY-ing, or just being a home body with some coffee and the fam!
One thing to know about me is I love my home! You should love your home though, right?
If you don't, then something needs to change. Your home, is your happy place or it should be. Where you can be, YOU!
Relax, sit back, enjoy OR have a party, grab a glass of wine, hang out by the pool.
Why not find someone who is so invested in loving their home to help you find yours?! (:
I've always wanted to be in real estate. Since I graduated. At the time I lived in Michigan, so the market wasn't too drawing to me. I decided to move to Arizona in 2017 and start working for a showing service for realtors all over the country + Canada. For 5 years I talked with agents, scheduled showings, learned verbiage, how to work the MLS in multiple states + Canada, more experience I could have asked for. Then I asked myself do you want to keep answering the calls from agents or do you want to be one? So I took my real estate journey. IT was long and hard. I failed my state test 6 times. But I was not giving up and I'm glad I didn't. Becoming a realtor is the most rewarding career, if you go into for the right reasons. And money is not it. You take an oath to HELP PEOPLE. That what this job is all about to me.
Challenges becoming a realtor are hard in every aspect. You need people to know you, like you, see you, hear you. Well, working for ShowingTime made me more knowledable, but quiet. I worked from home, I didn't network a lot. So when I became a realtor, I didn't know anyone. I had to take my social media and networking to the next level. Then you start realizing who's worth the connection for your business and who's not. It's a learn as you go process. And individually. Agents don't really help agents. And if you find one that does, hold on to them. It's a dog eat dog world out here.
I've only worked with two! EXP being my first, and now Barrett. EXP is great, if you like doing more than real estate. I'm not trying to talk badly about any brokerage. All teams work different despite who it's brokered by. EXP was just too big for me, company wise. I felt like I never got direct answers and when I wanted or needed them. You're supposed to figure out your own work, I get it. But if as a company you're going to promote how well you help your agents, I'd like to have to seen it. Barrett on the other hand is amazing. Between the caps, the monthly office payments, the commission choices we have. You can't beat it. So many agents in and out of office to help. We also just expanding to California. Small business going big!
I haven't received and awards or achievements yet. I'm working on that!
I've made over a million dollars in sales in my first year of real estate. My first 6 months were rough and I wasn't sure how it was going to go. Then I got out of my head and just started doing the work consistently. Takes time. But it pays off. I promise that to anyone in the industry.
I use whatever fits my clienrs lifestyle. We aren't all tech savvy. Mostly clients. So, if it's paper trails, apps, emailing, texting, calling. I do whatever it takes to make the transaction smooth.
Honestly, I'm not big on reviews. I will take them personally, but I'm not huge or keen on whether or not I'm getting them. While one good review can make your business, one bad one can also break it. I don't stress on reviews for my business but my clients are more than welcome to leave them.
At Barrett Real Estate, we are a sister company of Barret Financial. Lenders / loan officers are in office, at our side, ready to work with us and our clients. I think that is key and a beneficial factor in the home selling / buying process. When you have your whole team working for under the same belt, the feeling is more secure and comfortable. We all work together. The communication is prime. You can never miss a beat.
