My Bio
John is a former software engineer and became a real estate agent in 2016 with his wife Alyse, and the couple started a brokerage together in 2017. He is experienced in passive investing and is particularly knowledgeable around new construction spec buildings. He has built over 60 homes in Austin, and transacted over 100 properties. He is a father to 3 wonderful children.
I was a software developer, then a real estate developer. I got into the brokerage business because my wife decided to join me in the Real Estate industry and start selling the properties I was building. Since then we have grown the brokerage team to be our main business. I decided to get into the business in 2008 when prices were at historic lows. I knew that it was the time to get in. It has worked out well.
Simply managing deal flow. We are growing and tend to hire slowly and train thoroughly. So it takes time to get new agents up to speed with enough focus. So we have a slow growth approach. Leads are not a problem. We have more business than we can handle most of the time, so balancing clients and personal life is our greatest challenge.
Just Keller Williams. They have taught us how to build this business and we are eternally grateful for the life they have enabled us to build. We're not going anywhere.
We're nominated for the Platinum Top 50 every year since 2020. We never really market that though, seems more interesting to agents than clients.
Simply building our own business that pays for our family without having to work for someone else. The rest is gravy.
YouTube is our best tool. We use it to scale our education efforts and let potential clients know what it is like to work with us. Our best client tool is simply texting. Technology is often less personal, we try to be as personal as we can which creates great relationships and referrals.
It is a very high priority for us. We insist on reviews from all of our clients and are constantly trying to get as many as we can. They provide assurance to new clients that we are good at what we do.
We have a distinct buying and listing process designed to educate buyers on the market and both in terms of inventory and lending products. We feel our primary duty is educating clients on the market so they can make the best decision possible. Every client gets a primary and secondary agent so time off is never a problem and we have a full back end admin team so agents can focus on clients instead of paperwork. On the listing side we do full video marketing for all of our clients, we help finance repairs where possible so sellers are getting the most out of their asset instead of selling to an investor. We hold open houses every weekend with 30 signs, and provide an extensive seller report every week so clients always know where their house is on the market. We find this systematic team based approach gives our clients a great experience and helps them make the best decision for their housing.
