My Bio
Kate Youman is a 5th-generation Texan proud to have grown up in Austin. Kate began working in a real estate office as an assistant at the age of 16. After college, she began listing and selling residential homes, lots, ranches, and lakefront property in Austin, the surrounding hill country, and in Denver, Colorado.
Kate is able to provide clients with the very best resources, a dedicated and client-focused network, and revolutionary technology. By cultivating lasting relationships with her friends, family, and clients, you can count on her to deliver impeccable customer service.
I started off as an assistant in high school, became an office manager straight after college, got my license, and became an agent at the age of 22.
Coming into the real estate business right after college as a 22-year-old was a no-brainer for me. My mother owned a very successful brokerage in the '70s, '80s, and '90s and she taught me everything I know. Quite honestly I never pictured myself doing anything other than real estate. I took some time off while my children were very young and came back to the real estate profession after a much-loved stint working in the healthcare non-profit sector for 7 years.
Some of the challenges we face right now are the sheer number of people moving to our area and not having enough homes to house them all. Our town is so well-loved by a plethora of industries so it's no wonder there are simply more people moving here than there are homes to sell them. This is a challenge we face daily, however, our expert team has been quite successful in helping our clients find a place to call Home.
I have worked with two different brokerages in Austin and one in Denver, Colorado.
The two Austin brokerages were very different - one was a small "boutique" brokerage that serviced mainly Central and West Austin and Lake Travis/Hill Country and my current brokerage is the largest real estate company in the country. I am on a team in the luxury division of our brokerage, however, we service every pricepoint and do leases, as well. I would say they each were at the top of their game so it is really hard to compare the two. I will say that the collaborative approach of being on a team has enabled me to learn and grow at a much faster pace than being an individual agent for a smaller brokerage. I have loved every minute of being with each of these brokerages.
Our Team is part of the Platinum Top 50 Our Team lead is part of Luxury League Our Team lead is part of Elite 25 I was personally named one of 40 of ""Austins' Best Real Estate Agents"" for 2022, by Austin Home Magazine. I have my GRI, SRES, and CIPS designations.
The proudest moments of my career have been helping two previous co-workers purchase their first home ever. Walking clients through the home buying process, especially when they really didn't think they would be able to qualify to purchase a home, has been a highlight of my career!
I use Brivity, which is an all-inclusive technology platform that generates a TON of business for my team with lead gen tools and Auto Plans that allow our agents to respond the moment a lead fills out a form on our Brivity website or interacts with an Ad on Facebook or Instagram. Being able to reach out to someone in "real time" has made all the difference when wanting to stay top of mind and treat each potential client as the important person they are. Having this technology has enabled me to scale my business quickly and give each contact a concierge-level of service every single time.
I think it's imperative to have online reviews, whether it's a real estate professional, a lender, or a title company... we have to face that in this fast-paced and high-tech world, the first place MOST people look for ANYTHING is online, so having clients give timely reviews is very important.
Although I see it as highly necessary to obtain reviews, not all clients are able to navigate the necessary technology to give such reviews. We always ask for reviews as soon as a deal closes and make it as easy as possible with links/QR codes to Google reviews. Facebook, Zillow, etc,, are other platforms that can give a realtor a competitive edge...we are working on streamlining this process to make it as painless and easy as possible.
We are able to procure off-market listings and, in fact, we go out and pound the pavement, so to speak, to source homes in highly sought-after neighborhoods. If a client wants to be in a specific area, we don't just wait for something to come on the market - we walk door to door to help find homes that would otherwise be missed by the masses. We walk our clients through the entire buying process, from forming a relationship with a lender, getting a client pre-approved, and explaining every process in detail (if that is what they desire) OR, we can handle everything from listing to closing sight-unseen for out of town/out of state/out of country buyers. When it comes to servicing our clients we believe our process is unmatched in the Austin Metropolitan area.
