My Bio

Matt has over a decade of experience helping buyers and sellers in all aspects of real estate. Prior to becoming a licensed agent, he worked as a title examiner and gained a strong understanding of the documents and processes behind each transaction.

Matt also holds an unrestricted Construction Supervisors License and has worked on many types of building and development projects. He understands the structural and mechanical side of real estate very well.

Matt is a husband and father of three great kids, which gives him the perspective to appreciate what many families are going through as they buy and sell a home. He is polite and responsive.

What did you do before becoming a real estate agent?

I was originally in the Title business working for my father, who was an accomplished and well respected real estate attorney.

How did you decide to get into the industry?

I began purchasing real estate at a young age. My first house was purchased at age 20 and I've purchased many investment properties, renovation projects, and land for development since then. Being involved as a client and real estate developer exposed me to the need for more attentive agents in the real estate sales business. So, I jumped in and never looked back.

Have you ever faced any challenges in your current business?

The largest challenge is helping prospective clients understand that we sincerely have their best interests at heart. Most consumers are defensive about working with someone in the real estate sales business. And that's for good reason. There are some people in this industry that are just not prepared to do the job as well as they should. We are constantly challenged to overcome that public perception and let people know that we are highly capable and ready and willing to serve our client's interests well.

How many brokerages have you worked with so far?

I've only worked with two. I am thankful that they were both great experiences.

What were the pros and cons of each brokerage you worked with?

I started with ReMax Heritage in East Providence and learned from two wonderful people, Ilene Winegard and Guy Zannini. From there I moved to Keller Williams and could not ask to be in business with better people. The management team at our KW office is highly motivated and spiritually grounded. They have people's best interests at heart and are honorable, honest, and hard-working professionals.

What are the awards, professional achievements, and accomplishments you have received?

I have consistently been a top producer in our market center. I don't think there has been a year where I didn't finish first, second, or third.
In my first year in Real Estate sales, I won the ReMax in Rhode Island

What has the proudest moment of your career been so far?

The moments where I am able to make a decision on behalf of my clients that specifically does not serve myself or my commission income well, but it's the right decision for my clients. These moments happen often and I'm proud to be able to have a clear head and provide the right advice.

What technology do you use in your business process to improve your customers’ experience?

The list is long. But it is the most important thing in our industry. The real estate world lives on the internet. You need to be there and be there providing valuable content.

How important do you think getting good online reviews is?

Good reviews are critical. Frankly, I don't do enough to solicit them. The reviews I have come unsolicited. I should focus more on obtaining new reviews. But I feel bad asking people to spend their valuable time writing about how I did my job.

How does this factor affect your business, and what effort do you put into receiving good reviews?

What are the primary advantages your clients get when choosing you over your competitors?

We are experts in internet marketing. Our clients reap the benefits of this. In our primary markets, we have a very controlling share of voice for internet exposure on the industries leading websites.
We offer the most attentive level of service. Every client gets a full-time, dedicated staff member that is focused on learning the client's objectives and advocating on their behalf so they achieve the desired result.
