My Bio
My name is Preston Dean I am a husband and follower of Christ. Before I started a career in real estate I was a PE teacher and coach for 8 years, and an Athletic Coordinator for 4 of those years. I decided to transition into real estate because I wanted to help spread my passion to young home buyers and help educate them along the way. I cannot wait to serve you through this process!
I was an Athletic Coordinator and Physical Education Teacher on my way to becoming an Assistant Principal. When my wife and I bought our first home I fell in love with the entire home buying process. From showings, offers, inspections, negotiations, and closing. I loved it all. Being in education for so long I never knew anything else existed outside of my bubble, but going through that whole home buying process with my realtor opened my eyes to a totally new career that I fell in love with.
I would say the first 6 months of being an agent was pretty difficult. I was still in my full time role as a teacher and coach and was trying to juggle 2 careers at once. Find my first few clients was difficult and just "getting my name out there" as an agent was all I was trying to do.
1, Keller Williams. Regardless of any splits or royalty fees that I might have to pay the blessing of Keller Williams is in our large referral network. I have received 3 clients this past year from our referral network alone. Any cons would be royalty fees or franchise fees I have to pay
Graduating from our BOLD course in 2022; Surpassing my professional goal in 2022
Being able to transition from a full time coach and teacher to a full time realtor and being able to live a life by design and not by default.
Social Media and FaceTime. With the use of FaceTime one of my clients was under contract and closed on a house without even stepping foot inside. Now that's powerful!
Having positive reviews online in a huge driver for business. When I want a good restaurant to go to, the first thing I look at is their Google reviews and ratings. After closing, all my clients want to do is tell everyone about their positive experience and I just ask them to do so by leaving me a Google review.
One of the major things that I love to do for my clients who are right on the edge of qualifying for a home is talking with the lender and just simply asking "How close are they with funding & what do I need to contribute to their closing costs so they can get into the house"? I have never had a client lose out on a house because they weren't able to afford the closing costs. If you are a client of mine and can afford the down payment, I have no problem cutting some of my commissions and putting them towards your closing costs if that means you get into a home. I didn't get into this profession to make a ton of money but simply to help others find that joy and satisfaction of being a home owner that my wife and I experienced when we bought our first home.
