What did you do before creating your company?

I have been a Commercial Real Estate Broker since1985 and in the last 15 years organized have organized about 20 LLC investor groups to buy Commercial and Multi-Family properties.

How did you decide to get into the industry?

We have sold some and in 2017 took over the management of 12 of those under Salem Property Management. Since then we have been also started managing other Commercial properties for other investors.
Our main goal is to continue to add properties that we purchase and properties for other owners to grow our business to be the premier property management company in Siouxland.

Have you ever faced any challenges in your current business?

Some of the challenges along the way were choosing the best software and developing a competent staff.

What are the awards, professional achievements, and accomplishments you have received?

SIOR (Society of Industrial and Office Realtors)
CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member)
GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute)
Presidents Production Award (The highest category)

What has the proudest moment of your career been so far?

The proudest moment of my career was when our property management division was profitable in the first year of operation.

What technology do you use in your business process to improve your customers’ experience?

AppFolio Property Management Software

How important do you think getting good online reviews is?

I find it very helpful to get good online reviews which we get on Facebook.

What are the primary advantages your clients get when choosing you over your competitors?

The advantage our customers get by choosing us to manage their properties is we do not charge any fee for arranging and scheduling maintenance and repairs. Another advantage is being in contact with them every month online and once every year in person.
