My Bio
Scott began his real estate career with Coldwell Banker where he was directly mentored by one of the top foreclosure brokers in America. He was taught all aspects of the foreclosure business while steadily building his own clientele base and gaining invaluable experience as a broker.
In 2008, Scott decided to leave and start his own brokerage, Newman Realty. They opened their doors officially in 2009 with a Bucktown retail location and focused their attention on the downtown Chicago market. Scott quickly grew the Newman Realty Group- the team he leads- into a perennial Top 20 Producer (out of 20,000+ Agents in Cook County).
Recently, Scott merged Newman Realty with Vesta Preferred to form the RNP Real Estate Group, which, overnight, became Chicagoland's premier boutique brokerage.
With unparalleled technology, resources, and people behind us, we're able to provide a customer experience, and end result, that is incomparable!
I did a lot of things, actually LOL. I did some professional assistant work, I have worked in the retail service industry, worked in the purchasing and warehouse department of an electrical components distributor, and was a stay-at-home mom when my girls were young. I have even cleaned out apartments after evictions, you can imagine how gross that can be!
I always wanted to be a Realtor so by 2010, amidst the recession, I figured if I give it a go and have success under these conditions, it would be a perfect match. Basically, my dreams came true while grinding it out in those early years!
The current market is brutal for buyers, when people hear Dayton Ohio as a location, they do not expect our market to move as quickly and be as competitive as some of the larger markets across the nation. Here we are, with the inventory at historic lows and extremely well-qualified buyers coming out of the woodwork. Convincing folks to bring their 'A' game and understanding that the highest offer does not always mean the best can be challenging at times, knowing and understanding the market is a critical component to success in our current climate.
I am with my third Brokerage, I started in my hometown in a very small setting alongside my Momma 🙂 I made a big move a few years into the industry to a Nationally known brokerage and had several years of success. The third and current Brokerage shift to RE/MAX Victory + Affiliates, 3 years ago, was a no-brainer with the tech tools and vibrant climate I had always craved.

Recently, when a long-time repeat client recommended me to one of his best friends who happened to be a high-end doctor who had purchased and sold quite a bit of real estate over the years. We hit a few bumps along the road of building the new home (happens every time ;)), as I read his review post transaction, my eyes welled up with tears. This gentleman not only took the time to write an exceptional review but used the actual verbiage that I had built the framework of my branding and business model on across the course of my career.
This is a BIG question, we have TONS of tech tools at our disposal at RE/MAX, generally, this is what sets us apart from our Realtor counterparts. I utilize these tools (specialized search tools, apps for ease of communication) and toss in a personalized twist with videos clients can review at their leisure discussing market conditions, how best to make a competitive offer, staging tips, how to navigate a multiple-offer scenario for both buyers and sellers. The ability to sit back and watch this info in your own home, allows clients to REALLY absorb the information rather than trying to take it all in within that adrenaline-fueled moment of writing or reviewing an offer.
10/10 important, we ALL Google before making a decision on which pasta to eat, what new series to binge, and DEFINITELY who to choose as a Realtor.
There is no better way to let prospective clients know why they should choose you as their Realtor than letting past and current clients tell the story. I never mention the review until our process is complete 🙂 when we part ways at closing, I will let them know I will be sending a review, and their few moments to complete & embellish makes all the difference to me and my family.
Many of my client reviews reflect the sentiment that they feel as if they were my only client during our time together. I pride myself on taking the extra moment with each person to be sure they are comfortable and excited about the process all the way through and after. Most of my clients end up feeling like family, especially after referring their friends & family my way! 🙂 Growing up in the Miami Valley and the daughter of a Realtor, my education of how to treat clients began before I even realized. My #1 goal is to never have a client feel as if they were just a number. My family and I appreciate mammoth amount of trust these individuals place in my hands on a daily basis with one of the biggest decision of their lives, I take that very seriously AND truly love this career path!
