My Bio

My name is Sherry Nowak Cascini. I have been a real estate agent since 2012. I am fortunate enough to work as part of a team.

I am also a real estate paralegal and find that knowing the process of closing helps when selling and buying a house not just for myself but to help explain the process to the buyer and sellers.

I truly enjoy working with people, knowing the market and understanding not just what makes a house move from the market but structurally understanding a house.

It is very important to know things like what is a septic system and what does it do, what is a water softener and what does it do, how old is the roof, the difference between a boiler system and a furnace and how they heat a home.

It is important to keep in mind that not every person (buyer) you work with is aware of our housing market or how our upstate New York homes were or are built.

I love animals of all shapes and sizes and donate a lot of my spare time in fostering and transporting kitty cats and dogs from kill shelters.

What did you do before becoming a real estate agent and how did you decide to get into the industry?

I was a divorce and real estate paralegal. I have known for decades I wanted to be a real estate agent. I flip houses so have always been familiar with builds and the time came to retire from the legal side and go to the selling side. I still freelance for attorneys preparing their closings so I always feel I have an advantage above most realtors because I literally know what happens from the beginning to the end of a real estate transaction.

Have you ever faced any challenges in your current business?

As a Realtor in the current market, most of my challenges are capturing new listings. As all areas, the market is different and people are tending to stay put. Getting in front of them has been the challenge.

How many brokerages have you worked with so far? What were the pros and cons of each brokerage you worked with?

I am lucky enough to say that I have been with Hunt Real Estate for 13 years. I have nothing to compare it to and I am content with how I am treated. I have just become a Realtor in the State of Florida and presently am with Michael Saunders and Company working with Luxury Homes. I know several realtors on the team, the CEO of Marketing and the CEO and owner, Michael Saunders., I am looking forward to this partnership as well.

What are the awards, professional achievements, and accomplishments you have received?

1.Top Sales Person 2.Top Team Sales (past 5 years) 3.Holding my license in the State of New York and the State of Florida.

What has the proudest moment of your career been so far?

It may sound silly but my proudest moment in my career was when I received Christmas cards from clients thanking me for all the time I spent with them selling and buying a home. That launched me into high gear to continue doing the best I knew I could

What technology do you use in your business process to improve your customers’ experience?

At both Hunt Real Estate and Michael Saunders and Company, we have many ways technology wise to help our customers with their selling and buying experience. I feel very blessed in that department.

How does getting good online affect your business, and what effort do you put into receiving good reviews?

I believe good reviews are very important. I ask my clients to prepare a review when we close. A link gets sent to them and they put into their own words how I was as a realtor. I then share them.

What are the primary advantages your clients get when choosing you over your competitors?

I feel the primary advantage my team and I have over others are a couple of reasons: 1. We come well prepared. Our Comparative Market Analysis are the most important tool we have to show a client what the market is when listing a home. 2. When meeting with buyers we come just as prepared with the same information on what the market is specifically doing in the area in which they are looking. 3. I am a firm believer that marketing is important but most importantly is trust. A client has to feel comfortable with you in order to have trust. Communicating with a client during the entire process from beginning to end also builds trust.
