My Bio
I was in commercial construction operating a crane and took a nasty fall. After 7 days in the hospital it was clear I was not going back into construction, which is what I had done almost 30 years. The biggest one was the short sale years.
My daughter who has been licensed since 2007 and works with me, we took on a ton of the short sales to try and help as many families as we could, and it was a struggle, but a lot of those people have come back to us once they got their lives back in order and bought from us as well as sending their friends and families to us because have how much help we were to them when they were loosing their homes.
The last few years it has been the low inventory and bidding wars. I think there is some importance to it, but not as good as word of moth, and also what your fellow Realtors think about you.
Knowing the other agents that you will be working with on a daily basis is very important because they need to know if the transaction is going to go as smoothly as possible, or if you might be an agent that is hard to work with. It is all about relationships both with colleagues and clients.

I have only been at 2. The first one I was with the first couple of years and they were just a regional brokerage, then in 2006, I moved to Keller Williams when they opened an office close to my house and I love it.
Keller Williams
The technology and promoting the agent and not the brokerage is a big deal to me, plus the managing brokers are not competing with the agents like they are in a lot of the other brokerages. They also believe in having open books and the top agents in each office oversee them and watch how dollars are spent. They also have a global reach where the regional brokerages just don't have.
