My partner and I have both been in real estate 20 years, we have helped hundreds of sellers and buyers in all type of situations. When I first became a Realtor I did lots of rentals. It was a great learning experience and many of the agents in my office really didn't like working rentals. I still help my past clients with rentals if they ask me, but I prefer to give them to an agent on our team.
Over the years I have helped first time home buyers, move up buyers, sellers wanting to downsize, second home buyers, investors looking to rehab and flip. A large part of our business today is working with private hedge fund and asset management clients and our database. Working on foreclosures for our asset management clients, the list is endless of what we do on any given day depending upon the circumstance.
Drive-by's to see if the property is occupied, offering CFK (cash for keys) which is another polite way to ask the occupants to move out leaving the property clean and free of any personal possessions in exchange for money to help them relocate, evictions-this is always one of the hard parts of this job, photos, overseeing rehabs...you just never know what the client is going to need on any particular property, but whatever it is, it's imperative that you respond Immediately.
I have clients I have worked with going on 11 years and its because of the service and communication we deliver. Our past clients are always wonderful to work with because they have all become friends so there is nothing that gives me more pleasure than helping my friends buy or sell
