I was in commercial construction operating a crane and took a nasty fall. After 7 days in the hospital it was clear I was not going back into construction, which is what I had done almost 30 years. The biggest one was the short sale years.
My daughter who has been licensed since 2007 and works with me, we took on a ton of the short sales to try and help as many families as we could, and it was a struggle, but a lot of those people have come back to us once they got their lives back in order and bought from us as well as sending their friends and families to us because have how much help we were to them when they were loosing their homes.
The last few years it has been the low inventory and bidding wars. I think there is some importance to it, but not as good as word of moth, and also what your fellow Realtors think about you.
Knowing the other agents that you will be working with on a daily basis is very important because they need to know if the transaction is going to go as smoothly as possible, or if you might be an agent that is hard to work with. It is all about relationships both with colleagues and clients.
I have been in the Treasure Valley since 2002. There’s so much to do in this wonderful valley! We are fortunate enough to experience all four seasons in Idaho. Sometimes we even get all four seasons in one day…especially in the Spring! No matter the weather, I enjoy all the outdoor activities and events in and around Boise.
I grew up on a cattle ranch in Salmon, Idaho. Talk about a beautiful part of the state! The fundamentals of hard work, honesty, and lending a helping hand have always been the base of my everyday mantra. I wouldn’t trade growing up on a ranch for anything. There was never a dull moment or a day without laughter.
Education has always been important to me. As my grandmother always said ‘You can never learn enough.’ I completed my undergraduate degree in Business Management at Idaho State University, and my Master’s in Business at Northwest Nazarene University.
Having worked in lending, insurance, and relocation in the real estate industry since I’ve been in the Boise area, I have developed a well-rounded base for buyers and sellers to entrust in.
Kind of a Jak-of-all-trades you could say! Understanding the processes while building a team of highly qualified industry partners lends to a positive experience for my clients. I have been a top producer at Boise Premier since 2016 and a current total sold volume over $29 million.
