Founded in 1992, Peter Vincent Architects is a mid-sized boutique architecture and interior design firm located in Honolulu’s historic Chinatown. PVA has projects stretching from Hawai’i and the Pacific Rim to North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
PVA's work encompasses a broad spectrum of styles and genres, responding to the unique needs and vision of each client as well as the physical, social and environmental opportunities and requirements offered by each site. We communicate, collaborate and create relationships that produce award-winning designs and value for our clients.
We practice architecture on many levels, from simple consultation to full service design and construction administration. Throughout our involvement we look for those qualities and opportunities that will nourish and amaze our clients in the living experience of their new home.
Don Shaw is a consulting architect and planner. He served as senior designer, and later, as design consultant, to WATG, the leading international firm for the design of resort hotel facilities. He has joint-ventured with WATG, and other leading architects, including Arthur Erickson, (winner of the AIA Gold Medal).
His work has been recognized with awards from the Honolulu, San Francisco, and Oregon chapters of the AIA, including design awards for the Reconstruction of the Water Palace at Ujung, Bali, and the Moili'ili Community Center Multipurpose Building on King Street in Honolulu.
