Brock Freeman is the Chief Operating Officer and a Managing Partner at Kirkland Capital Group, which he co-founded. His career spans technology, finance, and real estate in both Asia and America.
Brock worked in Taiwan as a stock market analyst and in Hong Kong he built the sales and marketing department for a software startup.
In the U.S. Brock held diverse roles with mortgage lenders, including loan underwriting and auditing, managing underwriting teams, and build mortgage broker origination networks.
For a fast-growing mortgage lender he led a team to build the industry’s first web-based end-to-end loan underwriting, processing, and secondary marketing platform.
He also led technology teams at Microsoft and TrueBlue, as well as his own construction software startup, Kosah. Brock advises several Real Estate startups and funds.
He started the PropTech Seattle Open House events and started the local chapter of FIBREE.org, the Foundation for International Blockchain and Real Estate Expertise, serving as the Regional Chair.
As a member of the Cascadia Blockchain Council, he has testified to Washington State House and Senate Committees on behalf of blockchain bills. Brock graduated from the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington.
I have 25+ years in the financial industry working in all areas of mortgage lending. My career began with a finance company in the mid 90's with a heavy focus on real estate transactions. After moving to Georgia, I realized mortgage loans was all I wanted to focus on.
I worked as a processor and loan officer for a few years for a lender. Then helped organize a privately owned lending institution and managed the closing department while keeping up with compliance for 48 states. I've worked in the areas of secondary marketing as well.
