My Bio

Born and raised in Santa Rosa, and yet I CHOSE to live here as an adult because I LOVE this town! My parents have taught or administered in the local education systems all over the county and instilled an appreciation in me for the local community.
I left for college (Go Cal Poly Mustangs) where I majored in Business marketing. After I graduated, I tried to stay in San Luis Obispo working in the escrow business. The paper pushing behind a desk wasn’t for me, and I jumped at the chance to use my major when an old friend said there was a marketing position open at her company back home in Santa Rosa. So, for the next 7 years, I loved my job creating marketing for a financial company that was eventually bought out by Charles Schwab.
I took that opportunity to finally get out from behind a desk, switch gears, and jump into Real Estate. I had already started investing in property on my own, and I realized I loved the search, the transaction process, the excitement, and of course working for myself. After my first transaction, I was beyond hooked! To get caught up in the excitement with your buyer or the satisfaction with your seller is exhilarating!

What did you do before becoming a real estate agent?

I worked in marketing for a financial education company and I also worked in escrow and a few other service industries (a spa, a bank teller,,,)

How did you decide to get into the industry?

I’ve always loved the investment aspect of real estate and the opportunity to build wealth that it brings - my company was being bought out and I took the opportunity to jump into an industry I love!

Have you ever faced any challenges in your current business?

Finding clients to help is always the biggest challenge and I work from referral only. The few times I worked with random leads they were unpredictable and usually wasted my time. I love having an instant connection from the start with a mutual acquaintance.

How many brokerages have you worked with so far?

I may be in the minority here, but I interviewed brokerages when I first started and felt that I found the best fit with Keller Williams.

What were the pros and cons of each brokerage you worked with?

Keller Williams. People can say all they want about the coolaid (lol) however I felt the most supported in their office. Everyone is helpful instead of competitive because they want you to succeed and make our marketplace successful. They also offer caps and profit shares which are a nice bonus!

What are the awards, professional achievements, and accomplishments you have received?

I’ve been in our ALC (Agent Leadership Committee) for the past 4 years - meaning I’ve consistently been in the top 20% of all KW agents in our area.

What has the proudest moment of your career been so far?

Every time I close a transaction I’m proud! It’s another amazing relationship made and people helped! Selling multi-million dollar properties is also pretty rewarding.

What technology do you use in your business process to improve your customers’ experience?

I use technology to create a smooth transaction process with apps and of course emails/texts etc. I’m probably overlooking something because we’ve all gotten so used to technology in our everyday lives.

How important do you think getting good online reviews is?

I do think some clients will check to make sure you don’t have bad reviews, and if so what they stem from… was it just an angry person, or did you legitimately do something wrong. I send out emails to collect reviews, but I don’t hound anyone. I believe that your reputation proceeds you most of the time.

What are the primary advantages your clients get when choosing you over your competitors?

I am incredibly responsive and communicative and I go the extra mile for my clients in that I will do everything in my powers to make finding a home, selling a home and the transaction process feel fun and easy. I provide a list of local service providers and I make sure I don’t disappear at the end of a sale.
