My Bio

West Texas born, graduated from Western Texas College in Snyder with an Associate Degree in Agriculture Business, moving on to Texas A&M at College Station with a degree in Agriculture Business. Licensed Texas Broker through the Texas Real Estate Commission since 2005, member of the National Association of Realtors, Texas Association of Realtors, Houston Association of Realtors, Austin Association of Realtors and the Highland Lakes Association of Realtors.

I'm very active with Special Olympics Texas, past President and Life-Time Honorary Board Member for the Raj Hope Foundation which is an organization that supports children and young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through education and recreation.

I'm a life member of the Montgomery County Fair and Rodeo, Life Member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Life-Time Committeemen for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo with over 25 years of service, also have served as President and Vice-President of our local FFA Booster Club, very active with the Montgomery County 4-H for many years as a Project Leader and Financial Board Director.

What did you do before becoming a real estate agent?

Worked for HEB Grocery Company for over 20+ years. My grandfather sold farms and ranches when I didn’t have to have a license to sell real estate. He told me many years ago that I would be a great agent because of my agricultural background. I grew up on a farm/ranch in West Texas. Also have many friends and family told me that I have the right personality to sell real estate, honest, integrity, trustworthy, personable.

How did you decide to get into the industry?

My grandfather sold farms and ranches when I didn’t have to have a license to sell real estate. He told me many years ago that I would be a great agent because of my agricultural background. I grew up on a farm/ranch in West Texas. Also have many friends and family told me that I have the right personality to sell real estate, honest, integrity, trustworthy, personable.

Have you ever faced any challenges in your current business?

Low inventory and/or priced fairly was until the COVIA-19 outbreak which is what has everybody very nervous.

How many brokerages have you worked with so far?

Work for an independent brokerage NW of Houston (Free and Associates), a personal friend was the broker and he recruited me to get my real estate license and worked for him for 10 years.

What were the pros and cons of each brokerage you worked with?

Lake Homes Realty, LLC is what I was looking for in Nation’s Largest Lake Focused Real Estate Company. Lake Homes is currently in 27 states, we’re the Zillow of Lake Properties. Great analytics, owners are very honest, high integrity, great people. They are not real estate agents, put a very different aspect to working with them. We have over 150 agents in 27 states. Not like the traditional brokerages because they only have 1 or 2 agents per lake and at our summit and spring meetups everybody helps everybody because we’re not in competition with each other.

Winning the agent of the year award in 2018, I was very humbled by it due to the agents that won before me. It was a great honor to be recognized

How important do you think getting good online reviews is?

It is very important.

How does this factor affect your business, and what effort do you put into receiving good reviews?

It is very hard for me to ask clients to do them.

What are the primary advantages your clients get when choosing you over your competitors?

Waterfront specialist, ensuring clients know the ins and outs of waterfront properties, property access to the lake, LCRA requirements, septic, sewer, etc.
