My Bio
A North Carolina native, David graduated from the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics and is a magna cum laude alum and Phi Beta Kappa scholar of Duke University.
As founder of the Bediz Group, David is an entrepreneur with an eye for detail and a strong work ethic. David was elected for two terms to the Board of Directors of GCAAR, the area’s REALTOR association, with 8,800 agents and ownership in MRIS, the area’s only MLS provider.
In addition, he was elected for two terms to the Board of Directors to DCAR, the state-level association of REALTORS. He is proud to be so involved in both organizations, which are the only organizations that exist to advocate on behalf of homeowners in Washington at both a local and national level.
His real estate experience began in 2000 as an entrepreneurial real estate investor, and then continued in real estate sales and consulting for clients beginning in 2004. With five years of professional web design and photography experience to boot, he brings a unique, personal marketing perspective to sellers and the first-hand knowledge necessary for buyers.
Some of his notable accomplishments are to sell the former home of Warren Harding to the Principality of Monaco for its Ambassadors’ residence and to lease the $3.5M home used as the residence of the popular television show Top Chef: DC. He’s also extremely proud of his team, which he takes pride in directing with great care to ensure the highest standards of customer service and market knowledge.
.
Owning as many as 20 rental properties at one time, David understands the needs of commercial and landlord clients, and has direct knowledge of local laws and processes necessary to operate a successful rental housing endeavor. In DC, rental housing laws are the toughest in the nation for landlords, and David knows the pitfalls and shortcuts to obey the law and operate a business efficiently and effectively.
David is certified as an e-Agent, and is authorized for Commercial, Residential and Rental Real Estate transactions. He is licensed to practice real estate sales in Washington, DC, as well as Maryland and Virginia.
In addition to David’s real estate accomplishments, he also finds time to volunteer for the Whitman-Walker Clinic, Food & Friends, Cherry and other local charities. He loves to cook, is still in training for his private pilot’s license and has recently taken on oil painting as a hobby, completing several works that have been displayed in local art shows.
I was a web designer and graphic designer. I loved my work but it was getting repetitive, and I was not born to work according to a set schedule and behind a desk.
I love being out in the field, with a new challenge every day, and varying what I do to meet the needs of all kinds of clients.
It is really hard to convey to buyers and sellers what makes us the best fit. There is so much competition that it really is difficult to stand out. Even when I know we provide a unique skill set and results that far surpass the everyday agent, I know that there is so much noise out there that it becomes hard to cut through it all.
2- Coldwell Banker for 10 years, and Keller Williams for 7.
The two are night and day; Coldwell is an old name and still has an old way of doing things, from a very top-heavy corporate structure focused on shareholder and corporate profit over individual agent needs; Keller Williams is the largest brokerage in the world but still only has 5 leaders, and is not publicly traded so it only has agents and their clients to take care of. As an education-focused company, they help agents of every experience level get going from day one and even help them to create a business of their own. It's been life-changing being there.

Working with the Ambassador and Prince of Monaco to purchase an ambassador's residence was a thrill, especially since we helped them find the home of former President Warren Harding, and it was not even on the market. The ambassador and his wife are still to this day some of the nicest clients we have ever had, and they absolutely loved that home.
We try to automate a number of processes, but we honestly find that having the right person do the right job, and communicating in person with each client, is what makes them feel the most taken care of.
Online reviews are critical, and good ones are even more so!
We do ask all our clients to review us online and we have been fortunate to have received the best ratings and reviews an agent can get on almost every transaction. We love our clients, and apparently, they love us too!
With 17 years of experience and 6 years of leadership experience on the Board of Directors of both the state level and regional level of Realtor associations, I have both the business experience and the leadership experience necessary for a full understanding of all the aspects of the real estate industry and process that can help my clients. With my team of agents, we can expand the breadth of our marketing for the greatest possible exposure.
