My Bio
As a New Orleans native, Doris Schutte has over 15 years of experience working with clients, construction development partners, and the communities surrounding her in the New Orleans area.
Before jumping into real estate, Doris was the Director of Client Services and Marketing for a large national construction firm. She worked with many non-profits, including the Urban League of New Orleans, to help future business owners become successful in the construction industry by hosting professional development workshops. She oversaw community outreach – everything from career fairs, safety awareness events, fundraising opportunities, and beyond.
Doris is highly knowledgeable in many facets of construction and understands that each client and project is unique. Doris always ensures that her teams understand the goals and scope of the projects, and she also considers client satisfaction to be her utmost priority. She recognizes and values the trust of her clients by working hard to meet and exceed their expectations.
To Doris, serving a client means believing in them. It’s about understanding their challenges and then coming up with a unique and personal way to solve those challenges with and for them.
Outside of the work world, Doris is a stay-at-home mom. She is married to her wonderful husband, Lucas, and they have three amazing, beautiful boys - Daniel, Christian, and Mateo. Doris is passionate about helping underserved children in her community by volunteering at many non-profits. She is on the advisory committee for Hogs for the Cause, a non-profit that supports families with pediatric brain cancer, a board member for the All-Star Foundation, a non-profit that helps fund many aspects of the Children’s Hospital New Orleans Behavioral Health Center, and also a board member for HeartGift, the Louisiana Chapter, a non-profit that provides life-saving congenital heart defect surgery to children from around the world where specialized medical treatment in their country does not exist.
Doris was also awarded 2019 City Business Woman of the Year and was inducted into the 2020 Hogs for the Cause Hog-a-Fame.
