Shelly Conaway has a unique advantage of knowing what a Mortgage process looks like. Having worked as a loan officer for Bay Capital Corp, a mortgage lender, she’ll be able to guide you on the process of home ownership and ensure we have all the t’s crossed, and I’s dotted to get you through to settlement, where you get the keys, or as a seller, you have received the money.
In this position, Shelly’s job was to work in conjunction with mortgage underwriters to process loan applications through adjudication based on underwriting laws. She’s worked with home buyers directly, helping them with their debt-to-income ratio (DTI), verifying employment, their assets, credit report, and more. Based on these underwriting factors, Shelly was able to put her buyers in the best loan programs for them. Understanding these components of mortgage underwriting helped her clients have a much smoother, and more successful loan closing. Now, as a Real Estate Agent, Shelly’s able to transfer those skills into helping buyers and sellers through the purchase and sale of real property. As a licensed real estate agent in Maryland, born and raised, she’ll take great pleasure in finding you your dream home. Shelly works with both buyers and sellers.
Shelly’s professional career has taken her many places. She has a degree in Journalism, and Telecommunications. She’s worked in Advertising Sales for The Baltimore Sun, and a Media Consultant for Verizon Yellow pages. In the Education field, she worked for Walden University and University of Phoenix. And lastly, Shelly was the Sunday Noon News Producer for her local television station, WBAL-TV, in Baltimore, Maryland.
