Overview
Our focus is around working with Investors. Our value proposition is to be a one stop shop to investors by providing an investment based brokerage for purchases and sales, a property management firm, and a licensed construction management firm as well.
The idea came to start the company because I had been in real estate sales for quite some time, and was not overly attracted to the residential side of the market in Bakersfield. My passion has always been real estate analysis and investment, so I decided to go in that direction around 2017, and since then we have been very blessed to have a business that has grown yearly thanks to our Clients.
Originally I had started this business with nothing. I was coming out of a construction business which I had to walk away from and really was left with very little. I went back to real estate sales and slowly started to find my way to where we are now. It took about 2 years to build the investment sales side, 2 years to build the property management side, and we are now in year 2 for our construction management side as well.
Having employee issues and a pandemic was extremely hard, but we were always lucky to keep most of our workforce intact, until recently with this Omicron variant, which almost took out our whole staff, and really shook our service towards our clients. Thankfully, we are now bouncing back and even bringing in more staff to provide a higher quality end result.
As far as accolades, I am currently in the process to become a CPM (Certified Property Manager), this is one of the most prestigious certifications in the property management industry and can take around 18 months to complete.
I also have my PSA (Pricing Strategy Advisor) certification. This was a certification that I worked on to help me learn how to better price properties in the market for sale.
I am a Vice President of the Board for Habitat for Humanity - Golden Empire, Vice President of the Board for Income Property Association of Kern County, Vice-Chair - Brokers Advisory Committee through Bakersfield Association of Realtors, Vice-Chair - Technology committee through Bakersfield Association of Realtors, and recently stepped down from the Advisory Committee for the Young Professionals Network through the Bakersfield Association of Realtors.
Having our Clients come back for more purchases or sales.
To me, this is the ultimate show of our strength as a Company. Can we attract our previous Clients to come back and work with us again? If so, to me, that shows we have a strong process and are headed in the right direction.
A few of the primary advantages we give our Clients are:
1) Investment focused - our business is owned by an Investor, with an educational background in finance, and over 10 years of licensed experience. We locate, analyze, and acquire property that is on or off-market for our Clients. Our Broker is also Bakersfield born and raised.
2) Property Management - Once the property has been analyzed and acquired the real work begins with property management, and we have built a process to make sure that rents come in on time, and if they do not we have a plan of action to keep our properties producing at the highest possible level.
3) Construction Management - This is a problem for most investors that we speak with. 'How can I find a good contractor?' We aimed to solve that problem by creating a deep network with our Vendor base to be able to provide reasonable prices to our Clients and get work done at a fast pace. This keeps the vacancy times lower on our properties, and the returns higher over the long run.
