She and her husband, a 22-year active duty military veteran, share many of the same passions. They enjoy remodeling, woodworking, designing, cooking, and any possible adventures in the outdoors.

Samantha also loves golf and is happy her oldest daughter and youngest son equally share a love of the game. Lastly, they all love the family dog Olaf, a 150-lb Saint Bernadoodle who is trained in service and therapy. They bring him many places to give people peaceful moments who need it most.
