Overview
I began my career in loan origination at a local community bank in 2010 shortly after completing college with a degree in finance. During my time at the bank, I was able to help many in my community with financing purchase their first home or refinance their current loan. However, something was missing.
After doing some market research, I realized that by being a broker, instead of working for a bank, I could actually help more people and offer better rates. So in 2013, I decided to make a change and become a broker. While I enjoyed my time at the bank, becoming a broker was the best thing I could have done.
Instead of only being able to offer the banks product, I could now shop amongst hundreds of different wholesale lenders for the rate for my clients. And I chose to work with a broker who is one of the largest, and because of its size, is able to negotiate preferred pricing and service for its client.
